HBO’s Domestic TV Group

Scott Carlin is an accomplished leader, strategist and innovator in startup and legacy media companies.

Scott has spent thirty-plus years at the forefront of the evolving media landscape. He joined the core team that founded Telepictures, which merged to become Lorimar-Telepictures (the largest independent studio at the time), which was acquired by Warner Bros. There he built and managed a vast portfolio of first-run and off-network TV programs and theatrical movies in domestic syndication. Ten years later, he left Time Warner to become President at Digital Convergence, a startup convergent media company that raised $200 million in financing. He rejoined Time Warner as President of HBO’s Domestic TV Group, a business he built, pioneering the premium off-cable distribution model, generating close to one billion in new revenue for HBO. Carlin currently manages a portfolio of angel investments, multiple premium scripted and non-scripted projects, and is a controlling shareholder of Reelay, a social video recommendation platform for TV and Movies.

Scott is the father of four sons, an avid fly fisherman, trail runner, nature-lover, practitioner of the Wim Hof Method and Flow, methods of peak performance in all aspects of life.
