Ross is a Director at Black Mountain, where he brings over a decade of experience from both the public and private sectors. He began his career as a legislative staffer for the United States House of Representatives, managing legislative portfolios and collaborating with members focused on energy, transportation, infrastructure, and financial services.

Following his time on Capitol Hill, Ross pursued an MBA while working full-time as the Executive Vice President of Business Development for Titus Industrial. After completing his graduate studies, he joined Black Mountain, a family of entrepreneurial natural resource companies. There, he leverages his startup and capital raising background to drive growth across their oil and gas, mining, and energy storage business units.

In addition to his work at Black Mountain, Ross is an active member of the Dallas/Fort Worth startup community. He volunteers as a business mentor for the Dallas Entrepreneurship Center (The DEC Network) and has helped companies earn recognition on SMU’s Dallas 100. Ross earned his BA in Political Science from Texas Tech University and his MBA from the University of Texas at Dallas.

Ross currently lives in Dallas, TX with his fiancée and their dog, Winston. In his spare time, Ross enjoys playing golf, attending concerts, traveling with friends, and fostering dogs through Dallas Pets Alive and Hearts & Bones Animal Rescue.
